Half Marathon Fever

Entered 2 more half marathons today, one in Conwy, which takes a route through the coastal town starting and finishing at the Castle and another one in January in a little village called Helsby. Both completely different races, both very hilly and both should be a lot of fun.

Did the Parkrun again this morning despite still having problem with my stupid calf, (also having had an Indian last night) did quite well clocking in 23.09, missing my PB by 3 seconds. Am going on a run tomorrow to get some miles in my legs, its very difficult trying to achieve a balance between resting the injury and not losing my running fitness. I have to get my fitness up to decent levels as November is a month with lots of long races in. I'm just hoping the calf starts to behave itself.

Sue and I have just come back from a lovely week in Scotland, we stayed in a log cabin overlooking Loch Long in Argyle. Great break, spent hours walking up the mountains surrounding the Lochs and enjoying the tranquility of the Scottish Highlands, just wished it didn't end as quickly as it did.
